When we read from the passage of 1 John chapter 4 verse 13 onwards, we understand that God is love. If we live in love, we actually live in God and God lives in us. This love was made complete on the cross where the judgement of the whole world was placed on the shoulders of Jesus. God’s love was made perfect on the cross when Jesus paid for all our sins by taking up the cruel death in our place. Today we are able understand love and are able to love God, purely because God loved us first. The communion table reminds us of God’s first love for each one of us. He loves us so much that He chose to gave away His one and only Son Jesus Christ to the cruel nails on the cross so that we can have eternal life.
John 10:28 reminds us of God’s great love for each one of us and a powerful assurance that nobody can snatch us away for His hands. Do you fear anything in life? God’s love is perfect and perfect love casts out all fears. God is inviting you now “just call onto the name of Jesus” and overcome every fear of life, even the fear of death
