LIVING IN HOLINESS-3

Good morning, dear family,

How to become wicked? There is no school which has a subject on Wickedness. Yet, when you watch, listen or read any news media, you will find crime, violence, rape, robbery, cheating etc is an everyday story and in ways we cannot imagine. Mankind looks for innovative ways of committing sin. If this is not taught, then how is it learnt? – Sin has taken the front seat of lives and is driving mankind to destruction. Wickedness of mankind troubles the heart of God.

“The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.”
Genesis 6:5-6 NIV

When the woman was caught in the act of adultery and brought to Jesus to be judged, Jesus was concerned about those who caught her and wanted to stone her. They were holding the stones as if they were without sin and in a way, they had already judged her before Jesus could pronounce judgement. Jesus had compassion on the sinner, the sinful woman was not only forgiven but Jesus gave her an opportunity to live a holy life.

“Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.” ———-”
John 8:10-11 NLT

Even today, Jesus is full of compassion towards sinners and is calling each one of us to the way of Holiness. Our entire being- soul , body and mind – is redeemed by Jesus Christ. He paid the price for our eternal death to buy eternal life for us.

“Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.”
Romans 6:13 NLT

Amen 🙏
