THE MANNA

Good morning, dear family,

On the 45th day after leaving Egypt, the nation of Israel received Manna- the Bread from Heaven. Every morning, they need to go out and collect it for the day. On the sixth day, they had to collect a double portion.

“Then the Lord said to Moses, “I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way, I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions. On the sixth day, they are to prepare what they bring in, and that is to be twice as much as they gather on the other days.””
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭16‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

For forty long years, there was not a single day when God did not keep His Word. There was Manna and Quail available for the people of Israel. When God leads, He provides every need for the journey. The Bible says that for forty years, neither their clothes were torn nor their slippers were worn out.

“The manna stopped the day after they ate this food from the land; there was no longer any manna for the Israelites, but that year they ate the produce of Canaan.”
‭‭Joshua‬ ‭5‬:‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

A Couple of Thoughts:

1. GOD’S CARE-Through the wilderness, He provided. To us, till the very end of this Journey, He will provide for He cares. Even when our walk is through desert, fix our eyes at Heaven, for He knows what we need.
2. GOD’S PRESENCE: Through the Loneliness of the Journey in to the unknown and uncertainty, Even to us today, He remains the certain God in whom we can Trust. He keeps His Promises and Comfort us with His Presence.
3. GOD’S DELIVERANCE: From all Enemies, including death. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, as Manna- Bread of Heaven so that whoever takes part from it will never Perish but live eternally.

“I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.””
‭‭John‬ ‭6‬:‭48‬-‭51‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Amen 🙏
