LIVING A LIFE OF INFLUENCE

Parents are careful about their children’s company or friends. Simply because they know that a bad influence will spoil their character and they would go through a rough patch. We live in a world where everyone tries to influence the surroundings. Some are a good influence and some are wicked.

On Mount Sinai, God blessed Israel with 10 commandments and expected them to obey and follow it by the Word.

““Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land; for when they prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to them, they will invite you and you will eat their sacrifices. And when you choose some of their daughters as wives for your sons and those daughters prostitute themselves to their gods, they will lead your sons to do the same.”_l
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭34‬:‭15‬-‭16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Today, we see many of us are influenced by things of the world and living a life of compromise. Let’s pray for such people who have lost their path and gone astray from the living God. Also, pray for those whom they have influenced.

Jesus taught His disciples:
“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

A few thoughts on how we can live a life of influence:

1. By ABIDING in the Word of God.
2. By ALLOWING God to Work in our life.
3. By ACKNOWLEDGING God’s Will for our life.

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name, the Father will give you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Amen 🙏
