POSSIBLE IN GOD

Blessed Sunday to each one of you!

Though Sarah laughed at the promise of God as it was practically impossible to bear a child at the age of 90, God kept His Word to her and Abraham. They received a child.

Many times, when we go through a situation, we express our disbelief on a solution God is providing. Sarah was blessed with a child, a family, a nation and eventually, in the line of Abraham, Jesus Christ was born. Gods plan was not limited to Isaac – God could see His own Son being born.

Mary thought it was impossible for her to conceive a child as she was a virgin. But the angel promised that she will conceive through the Holy Spirit. Mary became mother to Jesus Christ and the nations were blessed through the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus.

“Now the Lord was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did for Sarah what he had promised. Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭21‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

1. Trust in God’s Power – God wants us to trust Him when the times are tough.
2. Rejoice in God’s Grace – God poured His grace on Sarah. Mary could rejoice while carrying Jesus in her womb.
3. Rest in God’s Promise – Abraham trusted God and was at peace about Isaac. Even when he was asked to sacrifice his son, he was resting in the Promises of God.

My prayer is that God would give us a heart to trust Him in times such as this. May He be gracious to us as we go through the fire of impossibilities. May He continue to be our Lord who makes a promise and keeps His promises.

““Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭29‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Amen 🙏
