Wishing you a Blessed Month of April!
When you look at yourself in the mirror, what do you see? I know you may laugh at my question, but that’s the question I asked myself. Do I see a Reflection of my Creator? Can you confirm that our Heavenly Father looks like us? Or the other way around, do we look like our Father in Heaven?
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you.”
Psalms 139:13-18 NIV
Few thoughts from the familiar portion of one of our favourite Psalm:
1. CREATED AND KNITTED – I may be saying this again, but let me write it. We are Created by our Father in Heaven. We are not an accident or a failed experiment. Just think “How beautiful it is to know that God took so much interest in making me, me.”
2. PURPOSEFUL AND PRECIOUS – The Psalmist puts it so nicely that we are created fearfully and wonderfully. Meaning God made us with a lot of care, no mistakes and as He looked at the finished work- He found it Good. He held us in His hands and whispered that “You are Precious”. And He wrote every single day of our life in His book even before it came to be. Gave a purpose to us even before we were conceived.
3. REJOICE IN THE REFLECTION – Let’s thank God today that we are His Creation. We belong to Him and Him alone. Our beginning is in Him. So is our eternity written in Him. He is Present with us. The Psalmist says, “I can’t run away from your Presence”. Let’s Rejoice the way we are – Created by a Careful Heart of a Loving God. He has made us and is making us like Him.
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
