Good morning, dear family,
The God we worship is not only a Promise Making God but also a Promise Keeping God. God made a Promise to Abraham and Sarah that they would bear a son who would become a nation.
“The Lord kept his word and did for Sarah exactly what he had promised. She became pregnant, and she gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age. This happened at just the time God had said it would. And Abraham named their son Isaac.”
Genesis 21:1-3 NLT
1. PROMISE- God keeps His Word.
2. PROMISE- God keeps His Time.
3. PROMISE – God honours those who trust Him.
This morning, a reminder for each one of us- God will fulfil every single Word of His Promise that He has made to us. He will not delay, He will make it happen just on time.
It began with one son – Isaac, who grew up to become a nation – Israel. Do not compare today’s Israel with God’s Promised Israel. God’s Promised Israel is that ‘One Nation’- who follows the Heart of God and obeys His commands.
Let’s hold on to the Promise of God as we begin this day. Let’s trust His Word as He unfolds what He has in store for us today and in the days to come.
“For Jesus Christ, the Son of God, does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” He is the one whom Silas, Timothy, and I preached to you, and as God’s ultimate “Yes,” he always does what he says. For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.”
