Good morning dear family,
We have travelled with the dreamer boy, Joseph for 20 days now. Each episode of his life is a lesson to trust God above our circumstances. In plenty, do not forget God and in lack, do not curse. Joseph did everything as guided by God without glorifying himself.
Even when his father Jacob and his brothers arrived in Egypt, Joseph presented them to Pharaoh and sought his formal permission to let them settle in the land. Though Joseph was the governor, he made it a point to follow official rules.
_“So Joseph assigned the best land of Egypt—the region of Rameses—to his father and his brothers, and he settled them there, just as Pharaoh had commanded. And Joseph provided food for his father and his brothers in amounts appropriate to the number of their dependents, including the smallest children.”_
Genesis 47:11-12 NLT
1. *PROVISION OF LAND* – The household of Jacob did not have to pay a penny to settle in the land. Joseph’s credibility was enough for king Pharaoh to allow them to settle in the best land of Egypt. When God provides, He gives the best and Jacob’s family got to settle in the best place during a famine. Even today, God channels blessings through his faithful children. He never lets them settle for ordinary things. He provides them the best.
2. *PROVISION OF FOOD* – God took care of their physical need for food too. The huge household of Jacob arrived but they did not have to worry about earning their food. Joseph allocated food supply to each one in the family. There was no lack for Jacob’s family because God had made the provision through Joseph. Trusting God is the key to receiving Favour and Blessing even in the worst of situation.
Today, when we look back to the past, many of us went through tough times, but God provided. Let’s thank God for His provisions. Let’s join David in reciting Psalm 23.
_“The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.”_
Psalms 23:1-6 NLT
Amen 🙏
