The law of sin is like the law of gravity. Gravity is a principle that is working in this world. All the objects on the surface of the earth are affected by gravity. A stone dropped in Africa falls to the earth in the same way as it would if it was dropped from America. No one can say, I don’t want to be affected by gravity. As long as you are on this planet earth, you will surely be affected by the gravitational force of the earth.
Similarly, SIN is also a principle working in this world. SIN (the principle) entered the world when the first man chose to disobey God. Today every man and woman born is affected by the sin principle. Nobody can escape from it, just as nobody can escape from the gravitational force.
It is very difficult to climb a mountain because the law of gravity is pulling us down towards the centre of the earth. Similarly, it is very difficult to live a sin-free life, because the law of sin pulls us down every time we try to keep the law.
But we have hope. The new law says that “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” according to Romans 8:1. Our hope is that the law of sin can no more pull us down if we believe in Jesus. If we believe that Jesus died for us on the cross and invite Him into our lives, then nothing in this world can pull us down. The day you do that, the law of sin will no more have any hold over your life.
This is the good news that Jesus can save you from sin and death. Do you wish to be saved from eternal death? Jesus invitation is open for you and for all. You don’t need to change your religion, He just needs your heart. Are you willing to give your heart to Jesus? Just believe in your heart that you are a sinner and that Jesus died for all your sins and then confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. By doing so, Jesus will come into your heart and change your lives forever.
