GOD’S FAMILY
– Many Children at the age of adolescence are very rebellious which is mostly because of some kind of a trauma inflicted on them during their childhood. Helping such children doesn’t need rocket science, they just need love and care of a family. A family need not be trained to love because that’s the essence of a family. Any child or human being can receive healing in a family environment.
– Similarly God also did something very amazing. He didn’t just create us but gave us a purpose and as a part of His purpose He brought each one of us into His family through Jesus Christ. Many places in the Bible, God says that He is your Father.
– In the book of Galatians chapter 4 verses 4 to 7, God says that He sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ to redeem us from slavery and make us His children. He gave us the Spirit of sonship so that we are no longer a slave but God’s child.
– Even in Romans chapter 8 verses 14-17, God calls us His children and co-heirs with His Son Jesus Christ.
– The Lord God Almighty declares in the 2nd book of Corinthians chapter 6 verse 18 that He is our Father and we are His sons and daughters.
How can we become a real child of God?
God says in the book of John chapter 1 verses 12 to 13 that “to all who believed him (Jesus) and accepted him (Jesus), God gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.”
– Jesus is the true light who destroys the darkness of our lives and through Him, God sets the lonely in the families
– The story of the Good Samaritan narrated in the book of Luke chapter 10 verses 23 to 37 describes our lives in a very beautiful way. We too were like the wounded man destroyed by all the wicked schemes of the devil but Jesus saw us wounded and lonely on our road of life. He took us, cleaned our wounds, dressed us and then took us to the inn. He didnt just leave us in the inn but handed over to the inn keeper making sure that He is taken care off very well. The inn represents God’s family, the church. God brings us into His lovely family, His church where the Pastors are the innkeeper and makes sure that we are loved and taken care off very well.
God is a wonderful Father and He calls each one of us to be part of His beautiful family. You just have to believe in God’s Son Jesus Christ who came into this world as a helpless human being, died for each one of us in our place, took all our sin, shame and pain and gave us a new life. Believe in Jesus and receive Him in your hearts and You will become part of His family.
