THE ACCOUNT

Today’s verse reminds me of my father’s small diary. He would keep an account of the daily expenses in his diary. We too, as kids, kept a small pocket diary, and wrote things which we wanted to remember later.

Today, if you ask me, where is the account of those days, I wont even find the diary and many of the things that were written have been forgotten. But God is keeping an account of our days spent on earth.

Genesis 6 introduces us to the account of a man called Noah. Why is Noah so special? The Bible records that Noah lived in the most difficult and wicked times:

“This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God.”
Genesis 6:9 NLT

The highlight of his resume is – “The only blameless person living on earth”. I am truly blessed with this account of Noah and encouraged to live a life that would please God while writing the account of my life.

Noah did not achieve this stature in one day, neither did Apostle Paul. Apostle Paul, even confesses that he has not achieved, but he is pressing on to it – One Step at a Time

As we enter into 2026, let us not give up but let us press on to make it to the finish line, such that God would be pleased with our run.

“I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me.”
Philippians 3:12 NLT

Amen 🙏
