21st MAY 2017 – REFLECTIONS BY SISTER ANAMIKA

1 Corinthians 1:26-29 NIV says“Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.”

From the above verse we can understand that even if people may give upon us but God never gives up on us. He doesn’t love you because of any of your gifting or talents or wisdom or noble birth etc. He loves us just as we are.

Have you ever been rejected by the world or put down by the world? Then know that there is a God, one who has created you, who has called you out of the foundations of the world, loves you and cares for you always. Even if the whole world leaves you, God is always with you.

God loves us so much so that we can extend that love and grace to others as Jesus said in John 15:16 “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”
