BEING SENSITIVE TO THE WORD OF GOD

– Our God is a faithful God. He will never ever leave us, nor forsake us. He is committed to us and He will never change, come what may.

– When we go through tough times, thank God for those days because there is a powerful testimony in the making. Every challenge in our life is for the glory of God.

– In the Bible in the book of 1 Samuel 3:1, it is written that the Word of the Lord was rare. People had stopped listening to God’s Word but Samuel was hearing from God. It is very important for each one of us to hear the Word of the Lord. It doesn’t matter what is happening around us, the moment we hear the Word of God, know for sure that the victory is ours.

– When things don’t work out according to our plans, remember that God’s miracle is in the working.

– God is true to His Word and He will always fulfill all His promises. You can trust Him for His Word because anything in this world may change but the Word of God stands forever.

– When God speaks to our heart, and if we choose to obey against all odds, God will surely turn things into our favor.

– Romans 10:17 says “Faith comes by hearing, hearing the Word of God.” The more we hear God, the more it will give us the faith, the strength and the courage to face every difficult situation.

– Our God’s economy will never run dry. He will never let the righteous and His children lack food according to Psalm 37:25

– The greatest power on this earth is the Love of God. In Exodus 19:4 it is written that “I (GOD) bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself.” God brought us all out of darkness to Himself and everything is just a by-product of that relationship.

– Is it possible that a mother forgets a suckling child? It’s impossible but still the Word of God in Isaiah 49:15 says that even if the mother forget the child, God will never forget us.

– God did not call us into a religion but He has created and called each one of us into a relationship with Him. God did not call us to serve Him but God called us into Himself. Just love Him with all you have and the service towards Him will flow naturally.

– Just as Enoch walked with God, Noah obeyed God against every circumstance, Abraham was friend of God, get into an intimate fellowship with God and He will open doors which nobody can close for you.

– God doesn’t want us to bow down before anybody. Bow your head only to God in prayer because He is the lifter of your heads. Will you like it, if your child goes and asks for a favor from someone else other than you? No, right? Similarly, God also wants us to ask all favors directly from Him alone.

– God will speak only once but He is very firm about it. Many times, in our lives, we tend to forget God’s Word and succumb to the pressures of this world. Don’t let the world take over the Word of God in your lives.

– Our God is not a debtor to anybody. We can never out give this God. He wants us to test Him, try Him, taste and see that He is good. Our God is a great God and He blesses us beyond our jobs and imaginations.

– In the book of Genesis 26:12 – Isaac was asked by God to stay back and sow seeds in a famine stricken land. When everybody in the land left for greener pastures, Isaac chose to obey the Word of God though it looked silly, but amazingly God blessed him and gave him hundredfold.

– 1 Kings 18:1 – Elijah stood in presence of God and not king Ahab. Since he had an intimate walk with God, whatever he said came to pass and it did not rain until Elijah said.

– Mark 6:51 -56 speaks about a big miracle of feeding the 5000 from 5 loaves and 2 fish. Though the disciples witnessed such a great miracle, they couldn’t recognize Jesus when He walked on water towards their boat. They could not consider the miracle because their heart was hardened. Again, in Mark 8:20-22, it is written that the disciples did not understand Jesus because their hearts were hardened. Today if you hear the voice of God, do not let your hearts be hardened. (Hebrews 3:15)

– Never walk away from your testimonies. Remember your past testimonies and trust God against all odds and experience Jesus personally coming and doing greater miracles for you.

– Choose and prioritize your lives to the things of God. Never stop at the testimonies or miracles but allow God Almighty to walk with you.

– Remember that God is the same yesterday today and tomorrow. God is already big so magnify God in your lives and not the problems of your lives.

– In Joshua 1:8 as God says “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

Let us sensitize our hearts to the things of God. If we allow God’s Word to work in our lives, we will prosper in everything that we do.
