PASTOR GEORGE CHERIAN
Today’s passage for meditation is from the book of Proverbs chapter 29 verse 18 which says “If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what He reveals, they are most blessed.”
Steve jobs said “If you are working on something exciting that you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed. The vision pulls you.” What a powerful statement by a person who established much because of a vision that pulled him through.
Myles Munroe said, “If your vision dies with you, you failed.”
– One of the greatest enemies to vision is sight and the greatest gift is not sight but vision.
Paul said “We walk by faith and not by sight.”
– In Habakkuk 2:2 it is written – And the LORD answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.”
When God speaks to us, we start listening, but God wants us to write down the vision
Are you standing, sitting or running? Are you clear about what God is speaking to u?
In Colossians 3:1-2 God asks us to set our vision on realities of heaven which means that a prophetic vision has nothing to do with this earth.
In the second book of Kings chapter 6 verses 8 to 17 we can about Elisha, a man of God had a prophetic vision of a huge army surrounding the city which his servant couldn’t see because the he was trying to see it through his sight which is the enemy of the prophetic vision. The moment Elisha prayed, God opened his eyes to see the vision.
Apostle Paul had a vision (Acts 16:9) about a man calling him for help from Macedonia and he immediately went to there.
The prophetic vision of Jesus at the road to Damascus changed Paul’s life forever.
Try to see what God is showing you which we may not be able to see with our physical sight.
Ezekiel’s vision of the valley of dry bones becoming an army instilled a lot of hope in his heart and it continues to make us hopeful even today.
God gave Abraham a vision of the stars asking him to leave the country and follow Him. Abraham believed God and left his own country but as time went by He doubted God’s vision of becoming a Father to the nations and went ahead with Hagar to have Ishmael instead of the promised child Isaac. Many times, Ishmaels take away our vision. Ishmaels kill our vision.
As written in the book of Genesis chapter15 verse 5, God wants to take you and show you His vision.
Moses – prince of Egypt, commander of forces saw a vision of the burning bush whicch changed his life forever. Moses was never the same again. One prophetic vision from and he was never the same again.
Samson was chosen from His mother’s womb but his eyes killed him and took him away from the vision. When his focus changed from God to Delilah, he was lost forever. There are many Delilahs in this world who can take away God’s vision from our lives.
Beware of Hagars and Delilahs that can derail us completely from God ordained prophetic visions. People have lost vision as their eyes turned away from God and were set on Hagar and Delilah.
Jacob’s vision brought his directionless life to God’s purpose and direction.
Joseph’s vision enabled him to hold on during the toughest times of his life.
In Jeremiah 33:3 God says; “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”
God is asking us to call unto Him and He will give us the prophetic word. He is willing to reveal great and searchable things that we do not know and that we cannot see with our physical eyes.
God sees everything in a different way and He wants to give us His vision.
When we see a bunch of people, Jesus sees sheep lost without Shepherd.
Joel 2:28 God promises that “I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on servants—men and women alike.”
What is God showing you now? What is the prophetic vision God having for each one of you?
Just call unto Him and He will surely reveal the prophetic vision for your life.
